Wouldn’t You Like to Know What Really Happened?

On January 8th in Stephenville, Texas, about 60 miles southwest of Ft. Worth, a flurry of excitement arose just as the sun was setting that hit the front pages of every national newspaper and aired on every network channel the following day. Hundreds of the local residents in this town of 15,000 reported seeing not just one, but multiple UFOs "the size of football fields." At first, the US Air Force denied having any military aircraft operating in the area that night, but later reported that they were, in fact, conducting "training flights" over the Stephenville area that involved upwards of 10 F-16 Fighting Falcon jets. So once again, the pubic is left to wonder what really happened.

Well, there is a way to know! No longer do we have to take the word of military or government personnel who are sworn to secrecy concerning matters of "national security;" we can find out for ourselves and let them play their games of subterfuge and misdirection. For those who have chanced to read Through the Eyes of a Traveler, you'll already know what I'm talking about. The implications of Mind Travel to discover the unknown and mysterious are literally limitless. Traveling, as it’s come to be known, is the innate ability to literally propel the mind to any point in space and time and experience the events, objects, and personalities of that precise place and time. It is innate, because anyone can do it—inherent within each of us, to one degree or another—it takes merely the desire, an open mind, and a little instruction.

Most people, when they come to acknowledge the possibilities of Traveling, first think about looking back into the past, and more times than not, they want to know about religious events, which is why the second book, With Eyes To See, was written. The most frequent historical event asked about is the flood, or Noah and the Ark. Did it really happen? How and where was the Ark built? How did they really get all those animals on board? Were there dinosaurs around at the time, and is that how they became extinct? Did the rains actually flood the entire earth? Were there only eight people saved? How did they live on board with that many animals for an entire year? How were they fed? Where did it finally come to rest? What is its location today? And on and on.

Once the idea of Traveling back in time truly sinks in, it’s usually only a matter of time before the curiosity turns back to the beginning, to the creation of the world. Who were Adam and Eve? Were they really the first humans? Were Darwin’s theories accurate; were there pre-humans?  If not, how did Adam and Eve get here? What did they look like? Were they blondes or brunettes? What did the earth look like and was there really a place known as the Garden of Eden? What about the tree, the fruit, and the snake? The list of questions about such things is endless. And where there is an event in history, there are objects that go hand-in-hand with it—the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Sword of Goliath, the Holy Grail, the Shroud of Turin, and the most sacred of all, the Ark of the Covenant—are the accounts surrounding these artifacts accurate and where are they now?

Once the curiosity of Biblical events are satisfied, at least temporarily, interest quite often turns to that in our own back yard, local history; for me it was the Kennedy brother assassinations, the puzzling death of Marilyn Monroe, the mysterious disappearance of Amelia Earhart, the burial sites of Butch and Sundance, and the infamous escape from Alcatraz Island. For some right-brained types the love for art and music lead them to the stunning works Michael Angelo and Leonardo da Vinci and the brilliance of Mozart and Beethoven, to name just a few. After reading The da Vinci Code and seeing the movie, the first thing I wanted to know was what, if any of it, really happened? And if hidden messages were truly encoded into da Vinci's paintings, what are the long-standing implications on our modern society?

A few years after our first book came out, Bonny and I were anxiously approached by a professional genealogist from the LDS Church’s Genealogical Society, who, after reading the book, literally screamed with boyish excitement when he made the connection and realized the profound implications these techniques would have on work for the dead. Consider for just a moment the ability to go back to any point in time or geography and personally witness the daily lives and antics of your own parents, grandparents, and beyond, and all that took place in your personal family history. He was absolutely convinced that this is how the work of the millennium would be accomplished. Wouldn't you like to know (consider the juxtaposition—going into the future to uncover the past!)?

And, by all means, let’s not forget the myths and legends that are a part of our culture that we only allow ourselves to talk about tongue-in-cheek, the more bizarre stories of history. Wouldn’t you like to know if Atlantis ever really existed, and if so, what the civilization was like and how advanced they actually were? What of Stonehenge and the great Sphinx; who were behind these relics of the past and why were they built? What secrets could be unearthed that may benefit mankind today? Was there a covert government project code-named the Philadelphia Experiment, and if so, what really happened to the men onboard that ship? Is the face on Mars just a funny shaped mountain, or did people once live on our neighboring planet? What about such legends as the Loch Ness Monster and Sasquatch; are they just tall tales (no pun intended)? Once you get started thinking about such natural or unnatural wonders, the list of curiosities honestly never ends.

Well, that’s what the Travel Club newsletter is intended to do, to satisfy the myriad of "unsolvable mysteries" that exist in our uncertain world that there are no apparent answers to; at least until now. As you might have read in our first book, I have the “curse of curiosity,” as I’m sure you do (or you wouldn't still be reading along). I just can’t let a good mystery go unsolved—it's not part of my nature—it creates an almost insatiable hunger down deep inside me “to know” that won’t let me rest until it has been satisfied. So here's a partial list of just some of the topics you'll find in our future newsletters (besides the ones already mentioned, of course):

  • The unique Crop Circle sightings around the world, especially the one off Highway 189 in Spanish Fork, Utah, on June 8th, 2004 (the only one "ever" to be "finished" days after it was initially started).

  • What were the visions of Nostradamus actually describing that he intentionally encrypted in his numerous quatrains? How did the visions come to him? Can they be seen again?

  • Is there an asteroid headed toward the earth? How close will it come to impacting our planet? What will be the outcome—will the human race survive?

  • Did a Russian fisherman and his son, Olaf, actually steer their boat into what has become known as the "Hollow Earth," live with a race of giants for two years, and survive to tell the story? Were theirs and Admiral Byrd's stories talking about the same people?

  • Are the remains of multiple crashed UFOs and their pilots locked up in secret military facilities around the country, or the world? Are Hanger 18 and Area 51 two such repositories, or just elaborate hoaxes?

Join us as we search back through our transcript archives to bring out some of our most unusual never-before-published Travels.
